Lucky for Lucky, when a car broke both his back legs five years ago, it happened right outside a pet hospital. Dr. Becky Wilkenson cared for Lucky when he came through her door.
When she couldn't find the dog's owner, Dr. Wilkenson had to make a tough decision. Because he had no hind legs, she just about decided to put Lucky to sleep. But an interesting twist kept her from giving up on him.

They said if another dog or something was recovering from surgery and 'crying', that Lucky would lay down next to it.
