can someone help me fix this???

when i try to open internet explorer it crashes every time...give that usual little window that says "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Well i whipped out my windows xp cd and reinstalled the internet explorer but its still doing the same thing and wont open...is this a virus or what....what do i do???

Have you tried running the Internet Explorer repair tool?

Also try running Windows Update, scandisk, etc.

get a better browser. I've had to reinstall internet explorer several times. I went to using mozilla firebird. its a lot better.

encountered same problem a year ago and ended up formatting my HD.

IE sucks so I suggest you try out more reliable browsers such as Mozilla or Netscape. Im happy with my Netscape 7.1
