    What did you want to be when you grew up ?

    Unless you are one of the really young webmasters being an internet smut merchant wasn't really an option when you were young. So, when you were a kid or a teen and people asked you what you wanted to be when you grew up what was your answer?

    For a while I wanted to be a professional trumpet player before I realised I wasn't all that good. Then I wanted to be a radio dj but then I stayed with journalist for many years. I always added in 'oh and I want to write a book'.

              Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a Hollywood film director. Mid-way through film school, I kinda lost interest. Who knows..maybe someday. Until then, I'll just keep using aliases for my pr0n.

                                                  I went so far as to spend a year as a journalism major but then I met my husband and moved to the UK.

                                                  Hubby actually was a journallist for many years before his accident so he understood the draw and we started a local online newspaper. He mostly runs it now but it is nice to still have a hand in the field.

                                                                              I always wanted to be a Doctor. My grandfather was a Doctor and I looked up to him so I wanted to follow his footsteps. That is until I found out it took 8 years of college I changed my mind real fast! I also always thought about being an artist which I am now so I guess childhood dreams do come true!

                                                                                              So, I guess I hit the mark.

                                                                                              When I was in HighSchool I remember all the kids killing themselves to get into the "right" colleges and taking all these courses to get to all these really lofty achievements...

                                                                                              Few years later, I see most of the same people, missed their targets and are totally burned out or discouraged in the end.

                                                                                              I set only 1 goal - own my own home by 25. I had NO Money when I set that goal at 22.

                                                                                              By the time I was 25, I had my 1st house and 1st new car after getting into internet access sales in 99.

                                                                                              Now at 30, 3 trucks 2 cars, 2 houses and 1 wife later, its still on target with the original plan goal plus some overages.

                                                                                                                          Funny - I had that dream once too! I was actually first chair trumpet player in our jazz band, concert band & marching band when I was in high school. That's about the time Chuck Mangione came out with "Feels So Good" and when that song hit I REALLY wanted to be a famous trumpet player.

                                                                                                                          From that "phase" I got into the rock scene as a bass player. Played for some bands around my city for many years and in fact - we warmed up Aerosmith at the fair one year - that was my closest call to rock stardom

                                                                                                                          I stayed in music for quite a few years but got tired of dealing with alcoholics, drug addicts and unresponsible people. Somehow I stumbled into Photography and never looked back.

                                                                                                                                          I was second chair in Jr High jazz band but then I just got lazy and didn't practice and I couldnt get back up to speed. I was in marching band for the first two years of high school but my band teacher made me pick between being in marching bang and being editor of the school paper. I picked writing because unlike music I am actually good at it.

                                                                                                                                                                          anything that made good money and had to do with nudity i started selling c64 tapes with scanned playboy images when i was 12, i got a really shitty b/w scanner for my c64 when we went on a schooltrip to berling for DM199 ... a LOT of money for me then... i knew a guy whos dad had a videocamera so i took my 12 playboy issues (got subscr when i was 11 hehe) and scanned EVERY inch, i still have the tapes and the 5,25 disk i even copied them to my Atari ST later, placed ONE ad in a german mag and sold a shitload of tapes and disks took me hours to copy...
