Anyone has a Sony LCD Monitor?

I just bought this one:

HS-Series 19? Flat Panel LCD
SDM-HS93/B

But the text is showing a little bit blurry. Is it supposed to me normal? If not, is there a way to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Make sure that your monitor and video card are being properly detected in windows and are setup with the proper drivers. Also use DVI if your monitor and video card support it as it gives much better overall picture and clarity for LCD monitors.

But no, the text shouldnt be blurry.

Thanks I just figured out how to fix it. I went in the monitor menu and found a reset option. I selected it and the picture suddenly became crisp. I guess the default settings were inappropriate...

LCDs are optimized for a certain resolution ... make sure your desktop is set to that resolution.

for a 19" lcd? it might be 1280x1024 .. but just double check to make sure...

if you're on winXP.. .you can also toggle the "smooth edges of screen fonts" setting

right click desktop > properties > appearance > effects > "use following method to smooth edges of screen fonts"

toggle from Standard > Clear Type

Hope this helps,
