very, VERY disappointed with ARS

As many of you know ARS are implementing some major changes into place where they are virtually eliminating almost all of their non-reality paysites (over 100 paysites)

For how long this has been in the works, I do not know, but I am very upset. I have been investing a lot of hours and a lot of money (thousands worth) into a very large project oriented and promoting almost all of ARS's niche sites.

Everything has just been designed, uploaded, and right when I'm ready to start promoting it - BAM - ARS decides to kill of all the sites.

I know better and am more mature to start yelling things like "FUCK YOU ARS, THINK OF OTHER PEOPLE BESIDES YOUR FUCKING SELVES!", but never again will I invest any serious time or effort into promoting them again. First it was BYOT gone, and now this.

I am certain other webmasters will be losing a lot of income because of what ARS has done. If ARS had told us months in advance that this was happening, then things would be different and I could have had my massive project already completed with another major company.

Shit happens I guess. Live and learn (although I'm not sure what lesson there is for me to learn from this except NOT to behave like ARS has...)

You guys didn't get the clue when Age Oath went to shit? Sure, the Hawgs were responsible for that but ARS was there too.

Heck no Kimmy. That ship represents the people who don't know how to swim when their ship gets hit by a berg i.e. this poster fellow here above.

Behind ARS all the way. Marc is ultra sharp and highly respected.

And when you've been around as long as Marc has and done what he's done, you might just find a smiley that's appropriate.

Well it's definitely a confusing ship that you need a map AND a guide to get through.
Plus there's like 4 different ships now, no one central QE II to get all of your stuff...

All very confusing... and I thought it was bad when their "GIM" page asked you 30 questions before it would give you one simple linking code.

Maybe things will be clearer in the morning.

Keyser I noted your shock at what you found on the inside of the reality sites on the "new" message board - you said something about your login working... can we use our ARS login now to access the sites and take a peek inside?

Why don't you ask the thousands of webmasters with thousands of links on TGP galleries that they can't change for fear of being banned? I'm sure they are feeling all warm and fuzzy inside right about now.

But for myself, I lost all respect for ARS when Age Oath went tits up. I know it wasn't 100% their fault but they had their fingers all over that one and it cost me a lot of time and money. So, I do not trust ARS and without trust there can be no respect. Same thing for the Hawgs as well (they are the ones truly responsible for Age Oath).

In my experience it is much better to o go with the smaller sponsors and many different billing companies. If one vanishes you have not lost to much and they will not vanish all at once.

I just wish they didn't lower the payouts by $10

The sites are great, but the payouts suck. I should know in about 24 hours whether these sites convert well enough to cover the loss in payouts. I just finished putting up links to some of the new ARS sites. We'll see....

I was a AVS partnership between ARS and the Hawgs it was awesome I made a lot of cash on it I averaged almost $60 per signup on the recurring option.

Then something went sour between ARS and Hawgs and it was closed down.
Don´t know what exactly happened.

Looks like a lot of people who made a good portion of their income from them are getting fucked without so much as a warning. That doesn't breed very much respect.

Doesn't hurt me too much, I tried to promote them but they convert at about 0/5000 for me.

Funny thing is .. I promoted nasty, ARS and orgasm right next to each other on high traffic exit pages.

ARS won't convert.

Nasty sure as fuck cannot count.

Orgasm converts 1:200

Now, THAT's funny

This isn't the first and it won't be the last time that there wasn't much pre-warning to a big change in a sponsor's program.

You have to look at the whole picture, not just the sudden event.

ARS has made a lot of people a shit load of money and that's the bottom line.

Things change. Get used to it cause that's the only thing that's guaranteed in business.

Lots of short sighted knee jerk reactions to our change. I expected a lot of angry frustrated responses, so no harm there. One key to focus in on - we're paying our webmasters ALWAYS AND FOREVER on each and every old link. There is no fucking going on here, anyone who says such nonsense is very uneducated in how we are handling this situation.

What we did we did proactively to make a change for the BETTER... for ARS, for its affiliates, and for this industry as a whole. I think our ability to make this very difficult decision, to follow through with it, and to stay in the game and deliver high quality, high earning traffic monetization tools shows our committment to our webmasters and to this industry!

My guess is that ARS is just the first of big players going through drastic changes.

Sorry to hear that...wonder why? Why would they do that? Just leave it there and let anyone who want to promote it....

well we still have and always will over 107 sites ;-) in 67 niches...

No, I agree with that, it's not the first and it won't be the last.

I really truly do feel bad for the masses of people that promote companies for the major reason of their strength in the industry, work a lot of hours and putting in a lot of effort to strengthen what they feel will be a long term stable relationship only to have the rug pulled out from under them.

I lost faith in "sponsors" a long time ago. I promote them where it's convienient and where it excites me. I wake up and decide I don't like the colors they use anymore, I can swap them out with the next one in line in about 5 minutes.

For the people who make a living depending on the stability they've become accustomed to, I do feel bad.

I don't give a fuck about the sponsors, if I pulled every link I have to any site except mine right now, I'd still eat steak and shrimp every night.

Well, I don't trust a company who says I'm sending 40 hits a week when ARS and Orgasm stats tell me that has got to be totally impossible. I can't sell Nasty either, not at 40 hits a week

I wish I could sell ARS, well, wished. Just like a lot of people I figured they were (are) a tremendous force in the industry.

Good luck with it ARS, really. I'm just glad I wasn't one of the people who spent a lot of time (is money) building something special tho, I would have been really disappointed to see all of my work made worthless.

To Marc De:
I had a look at one of your new join pages.
The dialer for foreign traffic is a bad idea (in my opinion)
If a surfer want to pay by phone bill, he is clicking on a link.
But tricking a surfer do spent some cents shouldn't be the new way of ARS.

Adult Site Traffic - far from worthless,we will still monetize that traffic and this what its all about. There is more than one way to make money from traffic than sending it to a paysite and waiting for someone to sign up Not that, that is a bad way to do it necessarily!

Slinx - there is no tricking involved in the use of the dialer. If they don't want it they click No and fill out the credit card form

don't mean to bump in here but for all of you who like the byot system, we have just launched up ProfessorCash with a larger payout than average byot's offer.

No Marc, I meant about all the work they put into BYOT and building their sites around priming traffic to go to them, expecting the program to stay on the same, reliable course as ever.

The work they put in to that and into their own programs to promote it is worthless, unless you can explain to me how putting all the time and effort into building that stuff and having traffic redirected to PPC (or wherever) a grand idea.

I mean, you don't really have to explain it, it doesn't affect me in the slightest.

They click "yes, delete all".

Goodnight. I need sleep

well we still have and always will over 107 sites ;-) in 67 niches...
The bottom line is that ARS is acting in what they consider to be their best long-term interests, which is understandable.

I am/was just upset about my short term losses because I had no previous warning of these changes.

And I do have AdultLounge promotion exclusively set up for one of my projects ;)

It isn't necessary for Topbucks, Nastydollars or BBO to get traffic on dialers by this way.

Beside of this, I like your new concept. Concentrate in quality, not in quantity.

lol, must be that time of the month for her.

Excuse my ranting, but ignorant responses from "reputable" people are much worse than ignorant responses from ignorant people ;)

Is it ever not? Kimmy is just one of the people on this board who if I happen to actually read her posts it makes me go "Phhhhh".

Her thoughts are 95% hot air and nothing more.

Sad but true.

Night.

lol, too funny.

But hopefully she'll get it through her head that a lot of what she posts is, for lack of a better word, stupid.

And I disagree with what she said about other sponsor programs following suit to this move by ARS. I won't say why, but I don't think it will happen.

But for myself, I lost all respect for ARS when Age Oath went tits up. I know it wasn't 100% their fault but they had their fingers all over that one and it cost me a lot of time and money. So, I do not trust ARS and without trust there can be no respect. Same thing for the Hawgs as well (they are the ones truly responsible for Age Oath).
business environment is changing - don't you realize it?
I am still not sure if the current changes are good, but I know that they are necessary for them.
Getting too less rebills and to many charge backs, Marc De could had decided to cash in and leave the industry but instead he did what he did and introduced ARS reinvented. I cannot see how this is a bad decision...and I am sure if the numbers with the old sites / the old BYOT model were good, they woulndn't had changded anything.
I still think ARS is the most trustworhty sponsor program, with Siver Cash very close behind and then....nothing

now that you are in answering mood

will you answer me those 2 questions:

1) why has somebody else apart from YOU posted the announcement here first

2) why (the fuck) arent you telling the webmasters that you want to continue sending 1000s of signups a day, a few weeks BEFORE those changes take effect.
I find it a bit disrespectful to annouce the deactivation on day 1 that is to follow on day 2

will you please tell me what your thoughts behind that were?

Nobody here is angry because you shut down your doors. I can understand that and was seeing that coming just after the new visa regs.
Its just the WAY you shot down and HOW you let your webmasters know

Well, since I do not use ARS myself, I haven't really read what they are doing exactly, but I do know you well enough to know that when you put your mind to do something, you do it full bore. To have the proverbial carpet pulled from under you sucks, but I am confident you will land on all four feet, and someone else will benefit from the efforts you were planning on directing towards ARS.
