My wife's new site is all original (shot by me) amateur content ? but part of it will be a directory of 'recommended sites' for those seeking the best of both worlds.

This doesn't have to be difficult - heck, you have a TCG banner in yer sig; simply make a link list using all of their sites, grouped into categories. Then use it as a landing pad for 404 and exit traffic - or as the last of your "friend's pages" on an amateur site.

You don't need to re-invent the wheel to promote both, and you shouldn't limit yourself - or your site's visitors - to only one choice.
