Man castrated after alleged child rape
A 26-year-old man was castrated by members of the community when he was caught allegedly raping a five-year-old girl at Mandela Park informal settlement in Kathlehong, East Rand police said on Tuesday.
The toddler was playing with her friends when the man allegedly took her away to buy her a packet of chips at a nearby tuckshop on Sunday. The man allegedly led the child into his shack where he stuffed a toilet roll in her mouth and raped her. The mother of the child was told about the incident by other children. Members of the community joined in the search and eventually found the child in the man's shack.
