Well, thats simple pathetic and a easy way for them to get a lot of points back as a lot of people will either dont know this, wont be able to make a sale or cant be assed to make a sale.

I for one dont log in to my stats anymore. If i wouldnt read gfy i simply would lose my points for not knowing i need to make 1 sale in a given period. Lame.

Exactly... it's not really about making a sale within a month, or losing some points, but it's about how things are being handled.

It's like your bank sending you a notice that they have made some policy changes, and that unless you make a deposit within 30 days you will lose the money in your account.

Not to mention that the value of the points dropped all of a sudden from 16.5 cents to 15 cents per point as well.

Congrats Marc, only you could manage to come up with what appears to be a way to change the system for the better, do it without anyone telling you that you have to, and get bitched out for it on a message board ;)

I seem to remember one point used to be multiplied with .165
Correct?
That come down to 16.5 cents per point?
I am bad at math. Real bad.
So now one point is worth 15 cents in other words.(?)
Not to mention the discount Executive webmasters got. 10%?
That still going to be in effect?

Someone please correct me if my math is off.
Your math seems right to me. A point was $0.165, and with the 10% discount was effectively $0.183, and it seems to be being reduced to $0.15, not sure on the 10% discount. So you could be looking at up to an 18% reduction in the value of your rewards points. On the other hand, a week or two ago ARS added a 15% ordering fee for items not listed in their limited "store," which made that $0.165 point effectively worth $0.143 points for most things you'd want. The new rewards system sounds like they'll add items on request, so that 15% penalty could be removed, leaving you ahead overall.

Good luck Marc. Change is always refreshing in marketing.

Guys, if you're good surfers everything will be great in the year ahead.

Just don't plan anything past a few months out. When ARS makes a major move like this you can be darn sure others will be right behing them changing also.

Niki - I just lost my successful PPS Program? Wow, that is news to me... Especially considering ARS 4 Real in its 2nd day is beating EVERY expectation I had. I couldn't be happier and after March 8th its going to do nothing but go UP & UP & UP!

Remember $75 per sign up on March 8th to all the ARS 4 Real Sites and http://www.realitypass.com is converting like crazy!

I'm guessing the new reality site where webmasters get a vigorous double-anal penetration is gonna be an absolute hit. ARS is shifting the paradigm, ya see.

Actually, Marc didn't "lose" anything. It was a business decision. Global Intermedia owned the old paysites and they had horrible members areas. Retention was apparently terrible and ARS chose to end its relationship with GIM. He didn't really have alot of choice in the matter, I expect. I know people are a bit freaked out right now, but personally I'd rather see ARS do soemthing like this than keep trying to pilot a sinking ship and eventually go down altogether. Marc is a smart guy, I know he wouldn't do something like this without a rock solid reason.

Feel free to continue your little bitter tirade against your ex-employer it's quite flattering that we angered you this much that you've been unable to move on. Please take some thought in your posts for yourself though; you're only casting a bad light on your own image. I have to believe, it would be in your best interests to just back away from your keyboard as continuing to press the issue is definitely not going to help your cause.

Thanks for your concern Shawn, but I am fine, and have moved on. Just stating the obvious here, and think it is funny and Flattering that you or someone else from ARS feels the need to try and discredit me when I post. If I am so full of shit, why not just let it be found out? Makes you look desperate, maybe it is hitting a nerve?

Best of Luck Toolz, you will need it.

Shawn he was just waiting for a response so he could post that. Probably had it saved in a notepad file for weeks. What is funny is while I was walking to his car we talked, he either lied to me or just doesn't live up to what he says he will! Says a lot about a man's character...

You better get back to rubbing your rabbits foot because you know we're both going to be on unemployment in about 2 weeks ROFLMAO!!!

I'm not worked up honestly I could care less your first 20 or so attacks I let slide, then I just got bored cause after all we're headed to the unemployment line over here so I thought I would finally reply to the "rain and dead flowers" being spewed by you.

See, Marc wants to make this all personal, and it really isnt. Yes Marc we sure did talk, and I am sure it wasn't me that lied that afternoon. Again, if you want to do this here I will be happy to, or if you want to talk like adults, you know how to reach me.

Matt - just as every one of your replies (amazing you show up in EVERY ARS thread) is doom and gloom about ARS. Your bitter, no doubt and it just looks bad and frankly you act as if you have 'inside knowledge' when you talk negatively about us. Oh, and yes, you were a former employee, so some may think your 'act' of having inside knowledge is believable. I'm growing very tired of it! You've impressed nothing upon me but your hard feelings about us and that is just sad!

Marc,

Thanks for proving my point. But really nothing good will come of this for either of us. I dont have to agree with you business decisions, and I am not alone in doing so. Just look at you message board, seems like I am the least of your worries right now, and yet you give me the most attention? Strange I would be happy to have a civil conversation with you sometime as I do think you are a decent guy, just badly misinformed by your staff.

Best of luck.

Thanks Marc,

I agree with you it was good to put all this behind us.

Thanks for taking the time to do it.

I didn't see anyone from ARS answering this one?
I'm interested to hear the answer too.

Remember $75 per sign up on March 8th to all the ARS 4 Real Sites and http://www.realitypass.com is converting like crazy!

good for you ...

Ouch. Guilty as charged...

I guess it's time I dusted off Mastering Regular Expressions. It looks like I've got some editing to do.

I remember when I first signed up with them, it was a bit of a learning curve trying to find the paysites to promote, and then adding them to your account. Their system was shit, ARS4real seems to work a hell of a lot better, I hope the rest of their website converts over to it to.
