Saving Car Import Taxes
Ok,
i could use a little advice from you guys.... Let's say I wanna buy a $100k car in country A because it's a lot cheaper there than in my country B Now I have to get that car from country A to country B (only way i can think of is by ship) How can I avoid paying 15-20% taxes when importing the car? Can I have the car registered in country A by someone else who takes it "with him" on a trip into country B or something like that? Help/comments are appreciated I think quite a lot of guys here could benefit from that hehe Thanks a lot |

I think it depends on the country... What country did you buy the car in and what country are you having it shipped to?

Yeah, I was thinking about the same, because tax for importing car from USA would cost me overall 60% of car price.
