    Ivory trinkets illegal?

    If I recall correctly, is owning Ivory items illegal? or just the trade of raw ivory?

    I have a really old figurine, the see no evil hear no evil speak no evil monkeys on a small stand and they are carved out of ivory... they were just given to me.

      If they are of a certain age they're legal, something like pre-1900 or some shit.

          k I thought so, but not sure the date of the creation :\

          not worried about it, cops wouldnt bust in the door to come arrest me for my ivory carving of monkeys...

              My family owns a lot of ivory carvings. I guess it depends where you got it from and during what time.
