KRL's Green Tea DeCaf?

Anyone know if that would affect the green tea's attributes?

And could someone remind me what the exact combination of things are?

1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of cinnamon

? Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Matt

Try white tea instead. I started drinking it after the KRL thread. It's real tea with all the benefits of tea but without the caffeine.

From one of KRL's posts:

Quote:
I'm using premium Dragonwell loose leaf Green Tea.

Brewing it for 3 minutes.

Adding 1 teaspoon of pure raw unprocessed Honey.

Adding 7 drops of Lemon Juice.

Adding 1/2 to a whole teaspoon of Saigon Pure Cinnamon Powder.

Not racist no Fletch. I am however trying to cut back and avoid caffeine where possible. Caffeine can help your system by giving you a bit of a spike though I'd prefer against it still.

Maru, I've never heard of white tea before? All teas have different benefits as they have different herbs and leaves in them. I guess I'll have to look up the difference between Green tea and White tea.

Thanks overlord.

Cheers,
Matt

Using Google, I found this:

http://coffeetea.about.com/library/w...02whitetea.htm

"Just like those other teas, white tea come from the Camellia sinensis plant. But the leaves are picked and harvested before the leaves open fully, when the buds are still covered by fine white hair. Hence the name. White tea is scarcer than the other traditional teas, and quite a bit more expensive.

White tea is similar to green tea, in that it's undergone very little processing and no fermentation. But there is a noticable difference in taste. Most green teas have a distinctive 'grassy' taste to them, but white tea does not. The flavour is described as light, and sweet. You should steep white tea in water that is below the boiling point.

If you are drinking tea for your health, you may want to consider white teas. There is also considerably less caffeine in white tea than the other varieties (15mg per serving, compared to 40mg for black tea, and 20mg for green). Some studies have also shown that white tea contains more active cancer-fighting antioxidants than green tea."

No problem. The green tea I have is "naturally decaffeinated"

Naturally? With a chemical though? Don't have it here, but something acetate?

Edit: The reason I ask is that I'm wondering if the decaffeinating causes the tea to lose some of its qualities?

Cheers,
Matt

No worries - look at the bottom of that Lipton page - they have something like 10 types of green tea, and only one is decaf. There are probably other decaf green teas out there too.
