Not saying I am moving there... just always looking for something new. :)

Look at the beach areas on the ocean north of fort lauderdale....up closer to boca/palm. Living inland in South Florida is not a great idea.

Better yet....spend time down here first and figure out what you like:2 cents:

Sly, I think you'll have better luck with century21.com than google, that's what I always use.

Just say a 3-4 bedroom, pool, garage, yard, nice neighborhood... the works. Don't know if you're familiar with real estate in SoCal, but if so, what would a $750k California place cost in Florida.

figure about half.

For 750k in Fort lauderdale, you could get a GREAT 3/3 bedroom place w/pool, nice neighborhood etc....right on a canal just off the intercoastal with about 60 feet of boat dock.

In SoCal....getting a place on the water would be double or more.

and for 900k you can get a stunning place on the intercoastal itself that would go for 2 1/2 million in Socal

Talking to someone over ICQ about it now. It's crazy. Why in the hell did I move to San Diego? Oh yeh, the humidity, lol.

GREAT COMMUNITY WITH EXCELLENT SCHOLLS.
My guess is this real-estate agent grew up somewhere else then.

Mike: I'll take you up on that if I come down for sure. :)
