Take it to a financial advisor and invest in outside of adult if you have never been in adult. There is a steep learning curve. Most everyone here started without two nickels to rub together, so the mistakes we all made didn't really hurt us. But you're talking a million dollars, nah... Stick with what you know.

I would find another place to invest 1 million dollars rather than adult myself. God only knows where the govt is headed with all the crack downs, VISA/MC issues, patent issues (acacia), law suites etc.

Every business venture is uncertain but Adult is certainly traveling a different (more risky) road at this time.

It is never cut and dry. Everyone is different. I personaly would not put 1 mill. into one arena. Diversification is my thing. I delegate a percentage to aggressive investments (adult related and risky stocks), a percentage to managed investments, and a percentage I deal with myself (stocks, bonds, IRAs, Mutual Funds etc.).

My advice is to be as unique as possible! Also think tons and tons of people surf the internet for porn without their better half knowing, friends or parents. Keeping that a secret is worth millions in itself. I have a great idea on this subject but have never really had the money to have this project developed and promoted. I would try to use the $50,000 of it first and try to see what really works ( advertising wise ) .. anything that seems to be working, i would use the next $100 000 to focus on that sector. basicly i would have spent $150,000 hopefully i would be back to $1mil or more within 2-3 months and i would forecast the recurring sales to see how much exactly $150 000 brought, at the same time i would make sure to examine the logs very careful to see where the best sales are coming from, and then keep it going towards that direction.

We are not looking for money, but we are working with a mainstream company that had asked the same question about 6 months ago and then hired us to do a product plan and now in negotiation with them on the product development side of things.

These guys have allocated 10M dollars to the project. We spent a lot of time looking at the adult market since we were getting paid to do it and produced a large report, What we found was that their is still money to be made in the broadband space since that is a untapped market, any thing related to Video on Demand and Live Conferencing over IP, Cable, Satellite and 3G Mobile etc will be sure bet if you want to spend that kind of money.
