affiliate incomes
Is it common for some affiliates to generate more profits than sponsors and is it usually a function of the ability to send high-volume of quality traffic over many months?

It does depend yea....
if you look at it one on one then yea affiliats can make more profit, but if i have 100 affiliates pushing then it's not a puzzle!
