Easy...wealth.
I can then get the best Dr.'s, eat the best possible, etc...and be healthy. I can buy things that I want that will make me happy. |
Happiness.
Think about it this way. When you are 100 years old and lie weak in your bed painfully aware of your rising position on the grim reaper's list, what good is wealth in your consideration of the life you have lead? Do you think wealth alone will give you satisfaction in and acceptance of your inevitable fate? I want to be able to look back at my life without having angst over the depressing knowledge of having spilled my one and only chance at life being no more than an worthless automaton ignorantly immersing himself in an artificial concept that is of no value whatsoever to the end-user. I want to be able to have that certain sense of complete satisfaction in having lead a life that really had some kind of meaning (happiness is meaning), even if it ultimately only had a meaning to my own temporary state of conscious self. Not that wealth is useless though, I just want to have it ALL. :winkwink: |
Happiness. :2 cents:

health/happiness
Try living with severe depression. Not the kind of depression where you say "im so depressed that my car got scratched." Im talking about when you stay in bed for days or stay inside for weeks with the curtains closed. EVery other day is filled with thoughts of suicide. Being so down that you start having chest pains. Have the doctors tell you that youve been on every antidepressant med there is and this one better work or we wont know what to next. Try feeling so bad that one night you see a train coming so you park your car on the tracks to only suddenly think of your family that you drive off justs seconds before the trains passes by. As far as physical health is concerned.. I have had 3 back surgeries and I can tell you that a bad back is nothing compared to depression. If I could be depression free I wouldnt care how poor I was. |

HELLO people have been enjoying the finer things in life since we hit this earth. If someone was unhappy because they didn't have the finer things in life then there would be a problem, but being happy with the finer things in life and enjoying them IS OKAY!!!!! Go hug a tree!!! :winkwink: |
