so a lot of you know i'm working hard on a non porn subscription service for fitness and i was wondering... to start off i'll probably use a 3rd party processor, and then once things start to pick up i'd probably switch to a merchant account...
can the rebill's be easily transferred from 3rd party to merchant? i don't know much about this stuff so ;) thx. |

You will find this VERY difficult. Whenever you transfer a re-ocurring database the change in descriptor causes a huge spike in chargebacks which will normally result in you losing your merchant account.
Also, many third party processors will not release your database as this would REALLY hurt their transaction to chargeback ratio, and they don't want that. You could consider an agrigator account....or try to open your own merchant account right off the bat.

galleryseek, the cost for this type of account is not nearly as much as adult, also your discount rate should not be much more than about 5%. You will however need a gateway provider and an auth. If you have any more questions feel free to ICQ me.
