		 A good cpu nothing under 1.4 gigs imo 40gigs  and up harddrive, a good video card and a min of  1 gig of ram *shrugs* thats what I use at the moment and it seems to work pretty good

		 are you just looking to edit videos sizes and general stuff for using in galleries and so on... or are you trying to do production type work? 
		
	
		
		
		
		
			speed in video editing comes down to raw horsepower..so get the fastest CPU or dual CPU set up you can afford. Probally wouldn't hurt to get one of those Westren Digital STAT 10k RPM hard drives, as it will speed up moving the videos around on your HD. Ram as mentioned above get atleast 1 gig.
