If you believe george bush is a great president, then you are obviously very naive or very ignorant. The US didn't "free" anyone, George Bush attacked a sovereign nation for oil by using terrorism and a possible "threat" to scare the population into supporting him. Anyone who can't see that is completely oblivious and probably should not have even posted in this thread to start with.

On a side note, Saddam is anti-terrorism. Hussein and Bin Laden have always been enemies, it's the American CIA that trained and armed Osama Bin Laden but of course you never hear about that on CNN. And about Saddam... Sure he was a dictator, so what? There's many countries in the world still run successfully as dictatorships. Heard about him killing his own people? those were the Kurds and they've been at civil war with them for years...

Totally true. If americans re-elect Bush, the world will be messed up . He broke all international laws in our face and everything. France was one of the best allie of the USA and he fucked it up . A friend is a REAL good friend when he got the balls to tell you that you are wrong . France did and since them they are paying the price .

On the use of the word "free" - this is no more than abuse of the word. Is there *anyone* the US has freed since WW2?? It is hard to even claim there is "freedom" within the US - it is the most controlled country in the Western world.

Yes, but that wouldn't help the 4 big media companies so they'd never make him a serious candidate. Look at Dennis Kucinich, he's the only guy who talks seriously about issues and he's been turned into a fringe candidate by banks and the media, long before this race. Until your system changes that's what will happen to every American candidate who cares about his job more than his personal gain.

Don't get confused and compare bush with hitler, ok they both know how to do public relations but a lot of people do, at least the people who make money (slimshady, billgates, tom cruise, disney just to name a few). The difference between hitler and bush is huge and comparteing them is stupid.

Sure is my opinion!! :-) I can't answer for the South African example - but the remainder of the countries you mention are no where near the "control" element and "non freedom" of the US.

People in these countries are looking in and shaking heads - they don't have laws where their governments spend billions monitoring the "citizens" and where phone tapping without court orders, imprisonment without trial, invasion of homes without warrants (whether relating to 'terrorism" or not) are in effect.

BTW... I choose words carefully when I gave my "opinion" - it is clear you have never witnessed much of this "US freedom".
