Definitely do the makeup dude. I filmed a lot on tv when I was in college and it does make a difference.

Makeup all the way doesn't make you gay! Makeup makes a huge difference not only to make you look better but to minimize the shine from your face and color definition.
Definetly go for it!

Let the on-set Producer decide for you (usually when they see my shiny bald head, they send me into make-up) ----sometimes it depends upon the location/indoors versus outdoors/lighting/etc.
