26 hours of video to edit

    Hello,

we have filmed in the last ten days over 26 hours of video (minidv) wich I need to edit and to put online asap. Wich is the best way? Who can give me here some hints?

    I have some questions:

    1. Format: divx or wmv? What is better, smaller file size more convinient for the customer to watch over www
    2. I use Premiere to capture the movies and then exprt them as divx from there...any hints for a faster and better result?
    3. How do you edit your movies?

    Let me know!

    Thank you

    John

Premiere is OK for the task at hand ... I used it a lot too. It depends on what you want to accomplish.

Nowadays, if I just want to have the raw video (not for editing mind you)I just leave the Windows Movie Maker ripping and encoding to WMV.

26 hours of video (depending on your computer) will take 30-40 hours to capture and compress.

It seems you're talking about adult videos (this is GFY after all)... if you're producing an indie feature, my advice will be a bit different

Thank you fro the first feedbacks...

I capture now all with the windows movie maker ... BUT there is a problem: all the vids have a green color inside and all the other colors are lost ... what can be the problem there?

              Thank you!

You answered your own question. Windows Movie Maker
Beat it. Nothing to see here.

Windows media is the most accessable...

Get a copy of Cleaner from Discreet... expost your video there adn it has a ton of settings for quality vs speed and everything inbetween.

Premiere/Cleaner... two MUST programs for editing video... Although Vegas Video is pretty good too.

Use Lensman's program and get the most for your hard earned traffic.
