![]() hey guys, I'm currently in the market for a 17-18" LCD monitor but the prices are up the roof!
Refurbished monitors seem to cost ~33% less than retail my question is, would you trust a refurbished products? (in this case, a LCD monitor) and another question, do you guys know a good place to buy LCD monitors for cheap prices? thanx ![]() |

Kind of works both ways, on the one hand you figure, hey it broke once, they fixed it, so hopefully Im in the clear. On the other hand, you can figure, it broke once, it can break again. Guess it depends on the brand and the kind of warranty they are willing to extend on it.
I would say check out Dell, especially Dell Business, I got myself a 20" LCD about 2 weeks ago when they were doing a 25% discount on them, paid like $750 off of $1000. Got nearly the same discount as a refurbished monitor but I dont have to worry about anything breaking/malfunctioning. |

i bought a refurb 19" from dell and its fuckin sweet for the last year, way cheaper and think some idiots get them and they are not broke or fucked up in any way, they return them cause many people are dumbfucks. Warranty is the same so its all good.

warrenty is the key info here.. who gives a shit if it was refurbed if it has the same warrenty as the other 1s
u get a 2 year warrenty, wait a year and 10 months, open it up, burn a couple wires close it up and send it back. get another one and reset your warrenty. ive done this with hp computers when i was a moron who bought hp computers.

Almost all my monitors and LCD's have been purchased used off eBay.
I haven't any problems with any of them, no dead pixels, etc. |
