Even though I am now officially out of adult, this is a thread I just can't resist...

First of all, people bookmark because they like what's on your page in the first place. If bookmarkers get more stuff, you'd get more bookmarkers by putting that stuff on your site for non-bookmarkers... you know, the people that still need convincing.

Second, people use all sorts of ways to get to sites. Some just click a link on another page to your site every day, or simply type your url in google. Those people are most often the newbies, the ones that can make you the most money.

Third, offering something especially for bookmarkers sounds too much like a gimmick, or maybe something shady. It sounds like you're trying to sell something, which actually makes it harder to get the bookmarkers you want.


If you want to get bookmarkers, get an easy to remember domain name (most bookmarkers are actually typ-ins), offer great content, have an easy to navigate site, and make the surfer feel "safe" on your page (no links to popup hells, no misleading links, etc).
If you want to put something on the site specifically for bookmarkers, make it something that is easily accessible for non-bookmarkers which is only useful on return visits. For instance, offer something that lets them anonymously store their porn links or offer a hq vid series that is updated daily or weekly.

Amidst the eternal circle jerk that is blind-link TGP trades, people sometimes forget to bookmark things while they have their dicks in their hands. :2 cents:

All the more reason to use my idea. It T R A I N S them on how to easily revisit your site from their computer. If there is a daily updated feature that they like & that they are coming back for - they'll have to do it via bookmark or by remembering and typing in your name.

This way you get credits for "bookmark" visitors on the various counters. And the big players know that "bookmark traffic" is higher quality than blindly-clicked-a-link traffic. See?



I'm not sure how shady it would sound, but it costs them very little (a bookmark & return visit) to find out if it was a geniune offer or not. If it was a geniune offer & they were interested enough to bookmark & return for it -- then you're in like flynn.

Bookmark traffic converts terrible, but eventually a freeloader will bust out the CC and drop a signup when he sees what he absolutely can't live without

You can get people out of the circle jerk of blind link trades by not using blind link trades, or only using very little. That gets people to bookmark more as well. (just remember to remind them to bookmark)
Let's face it, if you offer a semi-normal amount of content but throw in many blind links, people just aren't gonna bookmark a lot. They'll click a few links, then get directed to another site where something gets their attention, and they're gone until they've blown their load... at which point they'll just close all the open windows.
To get them to bookmark, they need to find something exceptional... the site which lets them find the porn they need without redirection and shit.

Training surfers generally doesn't work that well, sadly enough. Many have tried it, but the reality remains that surfers just want to do things whichever way they prefer with as little interference as possible from the sites they visit. If they need to do extra stuff to see your site, chances are they won't be bothered.

Your idea could work, but then you'd need to use a reward that really makes it worth it to the surfer... generally, a reward that big would have an equally great effect if it was available to all surfers.

You're not following... the hook(s) is the primary reason for them to bookmark & return daily.

Not the non-bookmarker area.

Think about that for awhile.

Think about what I said about counters.

Take your existing TGP, remove all trades pop ups and bullshit, make sure it loads fast then feed it with a network of brutal CJ sites.
