. . . . besides, what a waste of weed it would be to have it burning away while some dude holds it in his hand explaining the mysteries of life instead of passing it along.
at least it goes out until the next guy gets it, lasts a lot longer that way |
look at your cigarette paper. it has little bands around it over and over. the tobacco company's learned a log time ago that by adding chemicals to the paper it would continue burning if left unattended, therefor causing the smoker to light another since the one in the ashtray is now burnt up. It attributes to mulitple house fires every year but no one does anything about it.

tobacco and weed once dryed ignite easy, tobacco more so then weed. It only takes a min amount of fire combined with the paper to burn that thing like a snake once lit. |
THe paper is a contributer but not the answer as rolling paper is the same.
The answer is there is chemicals in the tabacco to help it not go out so it will burn out and so you need to light another if you forget it. |
chemicals. weed is pure, cigarettes have shit into it so it could burn faster... the point of a joint is that it would burn slower, but steadier, try using tighter rolls and thiner ones :thumbsup

Roll some joint in a normal paper and it will burn all the way down, use a rice paper and it will stop burning when you don't touch it. What the big mistake is that I think most mean is when you don't mix it with tabaco. In holland we mostly mix it and I have to agree if you mean it will go out if you only use bud, thats because of the bud and the rice paper yes. But what do I know huh :winkwink: |

why would u ever put a join down long enough to burn out?
i think... it has to do with how tight the product is rolled/packed. Roll a nice tight J and even if set down or a minute or 2.. when ya puff agian it still burns |
The paper on cigs have a little bit of gun powder. If you look closely at the paper you will see little lines going around! :)

the weed has moist resin in it that keeps it from staying lit.. tobacco, if dry enough wont go out. for example try lighting a stale, dry cigar and a fresh moist one. the fresh one will go out first after 2 minutes of not taking a puff. so its got nothing to do with chemicals in cigs just the moisture of the material and the humidity of the air around you.

Use scissors to cut really sticky weed nice and fine, No matter how danked out your buds are if you break them up and roll them correctly your joint will burn to nothing
joints go out because the papers get resinated i've ignored a burning joint for a few minutes and picked it up for a successful hit... if you break your weed up very finely and roll your doobie nice and tight you should be fine. Loose joints with poorly broken nugs will go out quick as hell as well as canou |
