okie .. let's try some useful thread .. I know there are many oldtimers here .. so what works best for making you TGP / MGP site stable, how to grow it , how to gain bookmarks .. is it good to have classic text TGP or thumb one .. or maybe a multi-category one (where there are 100+ categories).

Is it good to have some nice graphic on page .. or just make it as clean and simple as possble ..

come on .. I know you can think of something else .. share your ideas and experiences and let's all learn some useful shit !

Is it not common sense that the whole idea of a TGP is to gain bookmarkers?

Bookmarkers = Traffic, and Traffic = Sales

That being said, you should be asking or trying to figure out how to gain bookmarkers. These days a surfer can find a TGP within seconds regardless what he is looking for, and they are starting to realize that.

The only way for you to fight this is to offer something different. Something that will stick in their mind and make them want to come back for more, not to mention tell all their friends to go!

Tip:

I know its tempting, but dont trade traffic from your gallery clicks. Add a few sections that have links to your trades, but dont make them blind.

When a surfer bookmarks, its because he saw something he liked right? Well if he clicks your gallery links and gets tossed to another site that has something he likes, which site will he bookmark? lol

i personally - in those days - would NOT start the 10000000th TGP

well I hoped this thread will get more attention ..

when you don't send from your gallery listing to trades you will send very few to trades and you get few back .. so low traffc = no money ? you need to get surfers to your site first and then you can get him to like your site ... am I mistaken ?

Generally speaking thumbnail preview tgps are more productive than text link based tgps so far as sending traffic to galleries of course you need to make sure that you are also sending traffic to your own galleries and sponsors as well as the webmasters who submit to you

i think we are going to see the tgp generation eveolve in the next 6-12 months time to a more highly graphic almost paysite quality as it seems that the more effort that is put into the actual design / layout of the tgp itself the more traffic and more bookmarkers the tgp site itself gets which is good for both submitters and tgp owners

another thing that is worth thinking about are trades, they certainly have their place however how did tgp owners operate three or four years ago before trades became so popular.. they just had their own traffic base again with the evolution of tgp sites i think we are going to start seeing more and more tgp owners relying on their own traffic to feed the sites rather than relying heavily on traffic trades which are pure shit so far as traffic quality goes

of course with everyone scrambling to get a highly trafficed tgp i think the real winners will be the sponsors with hosted tgps as long as they actually look after the tgp and ensure that it operates in a way befitting a site with the name tgp that means more updated content daily as well as traffic revenues from not just their affiliates

I'm by far, no expert (or even well advised) in this industry, but personally, i'd rather bookmark a page with thumbs (not too much else gfx, why slow it down more than possible), and that i'm not gonna get bounced around blindly from ('this pic is nice.... click .... hmm transvestite midget prostitute foot fetish, wtf?')

Dont piss your surfers off sending them all over the place. Give them what they want, Free porn, and they will come back. If you do send them anywhere, send them to other sites you own. Trap them in your world, if there is a dollar to be made off them, make sure its yours.

I don't know how when I see .05 % out of 2k of uniques and that has been the norm for a couple years with me. Most of my trades are over 1.50 %.

Get a good trade script, get a good thumb mangement script , get trades, dump trafic to get it rolling. Get rid of bad trades and replace with new ones.

If you want to run a proper TGP, don't fuck it up. Look at the BIG Players. The Hun, PK, etc etc etc.

know what that means? that they like to click on the cat site much more. Your traffic is clicking like a mofo on a cat site. that's why they'll oversend to you.

all those cats = targeted traffic
if you offer them what they look for, they buy

I run all kinds of sites, the mutli-cat sites are easy and profitable.

Thumb previews are a similar theory - but even more direct, as the surfer clicks the thumbnail that grabs his attention. I liked the idea of thumb sites, but found them to be too labor intensive for me, since I run more than 1-2 sites. These days, the new admin scripts make them much easier to run.

A 100% quality TGP has always been something I would love to have. But, I realize I don't have the patience to make one. When I try, I feed a site, then I get impatient and just make it a trade site.
