I like Sony for video gear, but everyone I know who's had a Sony PC seems to have problems with them. We had 1 desktop Sony in one of our biz offices that had constant problems.
I'd go with HP or Toshiba.
The ones I like are the Toshiba M35 if you want a light one and the HP ZD 7000 series if you want a heavy desktop like unit.
We've got some of these around the office now, light as can be with built in wi-fi, like an upgraded PDA, most have 12" screens which isn't huge but if you want the lightest out there.. they're a good deal:
