Anyone know how to connect 2 pc's (win XP) with a cross wire? I need to transfer 6 gigs of data from one pc to another.

I believe you can do this by using the USB ports. Doesn't XP come with a file transfer system?

Using Direct Connect (Via USB or Null Modem cable) can be very tough to accomplish...not only that, but xfering 6 GB's will take forever. You would be better off pulling the HD and just slave it for 20 mins.
I'm not saying that it can't be done, just a waste of time for a 1 time xfer... hth... ![]() |

unplug the cable IDEE and plug in other hard drive use CD rom IDEE if you have to easy.

hi, im trying to do the same thing. im trying to connect 2 computers to set up a network between ethernet cards using a x cable. i've tried everything i know but it won't recognise that there is a connection and the 2 computers are connected.
any help ? |
