How does she act? What health issues is she faced with, if any? Do you know any of her history? What is your experience level in working with large untested dogs? How a dog looks is only a very small part of evaluating whether or not it is a viable companion animal. I can only assume that you are considering fostering the animal so some of these question can be answered before she is adopted to a permanent home. I personally don't care if my dogs come out green as long as they are genetically sound, show the right temprament, and display the right working confirmation. These are porbably not criteria that you would be concerned with about, save the temprament. I would urge anyone to consider fostering a large dog very carefully especially if you have children or other pets.

she will probably be good on a barbecue for another 6 - 8 months. . . .after that, consider using a crock pot.

The short bio that came with her picture basically said she was a great dog with children and other animals. Well trained and could be trusted alone in the home. I use to have a black shepherd years ago. She was a great dog. The person who is fostering her now says she loves people. I have two sons (teenagers) and before I get any dog I want to make sure she loves kids and has a good temperment. thanks for everyone's input

Thanks, I just love dogs so much. But, after I lost my dobie the other day my heart is not into getting another dog. But, my husband really wants to. We have never been without a dog in our lives.
