Speaking of trades and skims...

I was doing some surfing researching a niche I was thinking of delving into.

Anyway typed in the keyword and I noticed in the top listing there was a tgp that is centered around that niche.

So I figured what the hell I'll see what kind of sponsors people are promoting for this niche and see if there's something new out there.

Now mind you I'm coming straight from an SE I have not been to this tgp in forever since I rarely even submit anymore.

Anyway first click goes to trade.

2nd click goes to trade...this goes on until about the 7th click I actually get a gallery.

I'm not a tgp guru, or a traffic trading script mastermind but damn I sure did think this was a waste of time for what could have been a good quality click from an SE.

Wouldn't it have been better to just have redirected me to an fpa...I didn't type in free+niche, or niche+gallery...I just typed in the niche..so it seems to me this person lost a possible sale..or maybe even a bookmarker.

I won't say what it was because it would be a dead giveaway as to who's site it was.

Naw that's not really the focus...outting someone and it may not have been that this person needs to be outted.

I'm just doing like everyone else and trying to get this traffic game down...just didn't think it would have been a good plan.

Went back and put the keyword into google again and noticed that I clicked on the link that went straight to his tgp and not the entry page and that could have been it.

sometimes skimming links can lead to this - I know it was one reason I stopped skimming galleries (obviosly a thumb preview site cant stop skimming)

when your layout is not sending out enough, I think some scripts ignore a high skim (like p=75 = p=85) and just start shooting surfers to trades

Everyone conducts business in the way he finds the best.

BTW - I may be wrong - but I don't think that the TGP owner can adjust the way he treats the surfer, by letting the sript check if he made a search for "free teens" or "hot teens".

Scripts are the TGP markets worst enemies. It sends less trafic to the galleries and the traffic gets jerked around everywhere. I'm guilty of it, but the only skimming I do is from a few blind links. All gallery links go straight to galleries.

I hope trades will go back to how they were a few years back. It works out better for all parties involved! The traffic sees the galleries, the hard links send out great productivity, and the chances of sales being lost are slim to none!
