:mad Strange shit on AIM

I think I have a virus, but ran a check and did not find anything -- BUT somehow everybody on my AIM buddy list got an IM "from me" - I did not send any link at all. All of the sudden everybody on my buddy list was asking me what it was....

anybody have any ideas? I sure do not.

This was what they got (I do not suggest clicking on this link - just showing you what they got)

check this out: http://www.wgutv.com/osama_capture.php?5pyQ

so be careful out there. this is a new one for me.

You must have clicked on a link that you got from someone else. There's some aim exploit going around where when you goto a certin web page it sends you their aim password. Aim now has the ability to signon the same sn from multipul machines so maybe someone highjacked your aim? I would advise changing your password. Someone did this to my tech support aim sn a few months ago.

try to restore your winxp to a few days ago, that may help, then change your password

I got it as well, it was and i clicked the link when it was messaged to me lol.

Anyhow if you open start menu> programs> buddlylinks.net>buddylinks configuration you can uncheck where it says sends links to friends.

Thats how to get it to stop sending the links around and trying to advertise the program.

From their site:
Email: [email protected]

Phone: 617-661-4664

BuddyLinks
1770 Mass. Ave. #213
Cambridge, MA
02140-2808

Is their contact info... bud after i called during business hours and got an answering machine with my cell... I just got a random spam text msg with an opt out... (literally 2 minutes after calling there)

Someone else want to test tat and see if its because of the call?

The site says you can remove the program however when I try to, it locks the computer up.
