Lets get this straight, it willnot stop until the patent office is set straight. That patent is a piece of crap.

Whether we in the porn sector get hit by another company with a BS patent is down to how well Acacia do. At the moment I would say it's pretty certain to happen.

Well if I read this right the 2 guys suing developed the .md extension for doctors. It would work like this the domain would be john.doe.md and the user who looks the name up in the database can email [email protected] . This naming(extra dot) - email(replacing that dot with @) was developed by them to ease the way the addresses are used.

Now that was used by the registrars as well for the .name extension. I think their claim has merrit as they developped the way it works. The extra dot was not possible before they developped the .md
there is no prior usage here.

There is also no danger for the normal internet user or website owner.
