i personally was not happy with them
the only time I was able to get someone personally to help was on the live support chat on their site, and that took upwards of an hour after they said hi, lost of just hang time waiting on them to come back our site was down over 24 hours in one week i am not saying don't go with them, just saying I had a TERRIBLE experience with them, and had to switch after 2 months |

My boxes are fine, sorry your virtual wasnt. i also find it hard to believe about the live support. ive hit them up maybe 3 times in the last 5 months, and each time less than 10 minutes they had me fixed and ready, even with dumb questions. so for people like me who have been with them for 3+ years, dealt with their virtual over 3 years ago, and moved up to dedicated, it sounds silly sometimes watching people talk about them like they suck, when i know for a fact they do not. anyhow, i dont reallty care if your sites are up or down, i just know webair rocks, and no 20$ virtual account should try and tarnish a name tyhat keeps my sites up and pumping on DEDICATED boxes. |
look, hosting is a business, it is a commodity.
you have to look at all the factors when deciding which host is "best". what is best, is what is best for YOU. having said that, webair pricing is very competitive for the service they offer. everyone talks about how great ISPrime is, but they don't talk about how expensive it is---in my book it has roughly the same connectivity to europe, just webair's price is MUCH better. tech support costs a host money. the guys at webair are not dipshits, most of them can actually do things, as opposed to just rebooting a server. to offer the pricing webair does, in the market that they are in (living costs for their workers, etc) means they must strike a balance between service offered, BW, and price. like the general adult business right now, hosting margins are pretty tight. for the MONEY, webair is about the best i've seen. |

I was offered 1000 gigs transfer for 60$ (dedicated) paid the 60$, and found out weeks after the fact, that the box was not even setr up to FTp. Contacted support, they said it would take 2 hours to set it up for ftp, but it would cost 75$ an hour. So 60 + 150 for a box. I told them to kill the box and id rather buy a dedicated at webair for cheaper than that and have better service. oh and they didnt give me back any money, so i gave them 60$ for a host i didnt even USE, NOT ONCE, it didnt even have ftp, so i paid for one month on a box I didnt even use. so while some of you bitch about your 20$ virtual accounts, some of us have problems trying to get dedicated boxes, and seriously, hosting is a big thing in this industry, dont let some little problems over shadow the good. virtual or not, webair is good, and ive dealt with a few hostsd over the years, including ones who shut shop and took off, so hearing people yap abour $20 virtual accounts irritates some of us who have had way worst experiences, on larger accounts. anyhow, just my 2 cents, dont wanna come off as an ass or a webair spokesman, i just have dealt with enough hosts from GFY to know which ones are good and which ones are not. webair is CLEARLY a great host. and thats from experience. |

I had a virtual account with webair for over 1 year before i switched to dedicated, i dont want you making me come off like im ragging on virtual. and when i was on virtual i was on the ohone with tech guys every other day, on icq with Mike, etc... not sure why you have so many problems. i was with them when thyey barely HAD live support, so you guys have it made now with live support hahaha im just saying quit running your mouth like you invesdted and lost a bunch of money. you didnt. for every bad experience there are 100s of good ones. cant please everyone. anyway, i got work to do. im not looking for a new host and im not even sure why i posted in here in the first place. |

Good support is the key nowadays...And isprime never have left us down...Great support, best uptime from all hosts, multihomed, and BGP4 routing...I started as virtual customer. Nowadays a few 100MBPS connections...(with diesel media)
As far as webair goes. I heard good things about them, and I think you can't really go wrong with them. A lot of boardwhores are promoting them, and I assume therefor they also have a lot of board clients...The times I see ppl complain about webair here is rare...So I think they are pretty good:-) Andre |

I have a lot of various hosts and can say I'm very happy with these guys... sometimes Mike needs smacked around but they are all very nice and on the ball! :winkwink: |

I'd suggest oxeo.com ...the service is great and I've had very minimal issues with them...and its very easy to get in touch with them on icq as well as ovr the phone...in fact I'm about to move all my sites to them and upgrade my hosting package.
