I have a Bengal cat. They are finally recognized as an official breed but they are half Egyptian Mau and half Asian Leopord Cat. The face is more lion-like than a housecat and they are spotted. And damn that asshole is vocal at night!

When we first adopted him my vet sort of flipped out and said he would end up eating my 4 lb Chihuahua.

Well, that is simply not the case, we have a few more Chi's now and they all rule that cat. If the cat manages to get a treat he is chased by one of the Chi's and the treat is promptly stolen out of his mouth. The Chi's chase the cat and let him know that they are boss and he is only tolerated. There are times though that they do enjoy playing with the cat and the cat rolls over and pretends they have the upper hand...and it is cute when he plays so submissive. He could take them out with one swipe if he wanted to, he is not declawed but he prefers to try and become part of the pack, he has this stupid idea that he is a dog and has learned to "sit pretty" like the dogs.

Damn that cat is sweet. It would probably eat my two cats as well.

Its always surprising how pets adapt to other species. Specially cats.

Besides Mikey i have two bengal cats. I used to have a dog
and within 24 hours she shared the same room with the cats
as if they had always been there. Cats are very dominant
creatures (like women) but they easily settle with the situation
as soon as they realize the other pet is in 'control' as happened with your Chi's. It seems to overrule their instincts.

I first had a Bengal cat but the X took it (BITCH) Mine was a female and was very quite. My sister has a male and he howls at night and is a pain in the ass. Mine was a great pet but now and then she would just go wild and run up the walls.
