americans are fucking crazy

just watching an american tv show about cops.
they are posing as street marijuana pushers and they arrest the buyers that they themselves sell the drugs to, this is insane , why don't they spend their energy at posing as buyers and arrest the real pushers instead .

what kind of civilization is this .

fucking monkeys just doing this for statistics , this doesn't solve any problem .

damn, why don't americans who have more than one braincell ( and i know there are some) do something to sack the legislators authorizing such stupid police behavior.

pot's a total waste of our money and resources...I think anything that comes out of the ground and can be consumed naturally should be legal.

But once you start to process it into something else...regulated.

it's not entrapment when you drive down a street where drug dealers are and they approcah you.

And if you don't think that happens then drive through the "alphabet city" of any major city in America and you will see it happen day in and day out.

what amazes me is that these second zone cops look pretty proud of what they are doing , arresting poor addicted people.
they would be shitting their pants just by the idea of being in front of a real dealer .

It's estimated by the DEA that about 20 million Americans are frequent drug users. About 1 in every 5 households.

You'll never solve the drug problem with that many customers.

Its all a bullshit game in my opinion. Follow the money trail. Who ends up with all the drug cash profits and possessions they seize.
The police departments and the Feds. I'd love to see a full accounting of where all that cash ends up.

I had one cop friend years ago who worked narcotics and he said a lot of the busts don't even get processed. They just tell the dealers to get the fuck out and run, then the cops scoop up the cash and the dope and split it up between themselves. Happens like this to in a lot of shoot outs when they kill the drug suspects.

You think the cops want anything to change from this lucrative side biz they have? Nope.

Marijuana Decriminilizaton Points

TALKING POINT #1:
Decriminalizing marijuana frees up police resources to deal with more serious crimes.

TALKING POINT #2:
Far more harm is caused by the criminal prohibition of marijuana than by the use of marijuana itself.

TALKING POINT #3:
Decriminalization does not lead to greater marijuana use.

TALKING POINT #4:
Criminal laws prohibiting marijuana possession do not deter marijuana use.

TALKING POINT #1: Decriminalizing marijuana frees up police resources to deal with more serious crimes.

heres some general stats: the refernces can be found on the page i linked above.

60,000 individuals are behind bars for marijuana offenses at a cost to taxpayers of $1.2 billion per year.

Taxpayers annually spend between $7.5 billion and $10 billion arresting and prosecuting individuals for marijuana violations. Almost 90 percent of these arrests are for marijuana possession only.

And since its DECRIMINILIZED in California:

The state of California saved nearly $1 billion dollars from 1976 to 1985 by decriminalizing the personal possession of one ounce of marijuana, according to a study of the state justice department budget.

Marijuana arrests have more than doubled since 1991, while adult use of the drug has remained stable. During this same period, the number of arrests for cocaine and heroin fell by approximately 33 percent.

Police arrest more Americans per year on marijuana charges than the total number of arrestees for all violent crimes combined, including murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.

those quotes only cover Talking Point 1, I suggest people read them all.

Lets see, a German court let off a cannibal on a murder charge because the eaten person "asked for it"...and how many elderly folk died of heat exposure in France last summer?

You can't point to one thing in any legal/social system and demean a whole society by it. That's ignorant and unfair. The same thing here, with COPS (which is bullshit...you should be watching something better, imho).

The theory (with the street busts) is that (as somebody else pointed out) the pushers all group in areas where people buy. If they bust the pushers, they're out on the streets in 24 hours (they have a lot of money to buy lawyers). If they arrest the buyers, it dries up the money for the pushers and the dealers move on to other locales. These aren't national police, they're local police, and their job is to get rid of the pushers from THEIR neighborhoods, not a whole country.

Grass should be legal, of course. In fact, I think all drugs should be legal (or at least handled like Europe handles it), however those street cops are just doing their jobs. And they don't get paid shit for doing it.

Okay, end of diatribe.

WTF are you talking about. Do you mix with the general population or are you confined to a room and are basically disengaged?

Let me tell you a small story. I own a bar here in San Diego and one night I had some clown come in all high on weed. My bartender didn't serve him because he was fucked up on the shit. The next thing I know this dirtbag pulls out a hunting knife and begins to swing it around. Had to call 911. Six cop cars show up and pull out their weapons. This guy was so high, he wouldn't listen. Eventually, he threw the knife down and was arrested. What was found on him was just about 5 oz of weed and that is it.

This shit makes people do fucked up things. Maybe not to all but it only takes a couple of people to cause havoc.

Needless to say, I lost money that night because the bar was cleared out.

You are now saying that the FBI stats on crime in the US are fake and you know better.

REFERENCE: Federal Bureau of Investigation. 2001. Uniform Crime Report: Crime in the United States, 2000. Table 29: Total estimated arrests in the United States, 2000. U.S. Department of Justice: Washington, DC.

I am glad we have such an abyss of knowledge like you here to shoot down on Crime Stats in America. ;)

You let one incident of someone dictate against crime statistics.

too funny.

How many crimes are the direct cause of drugs...

You say one incident. What happened if that incident got ugly and someone was killed.

Look a little deeper into reality than just what some statistician puts out.

I could tell you lot's of small stories about drunks.

How can you look deeper into reality than the facts of Crime Statistics in the US put out by the FBI and Justice Dept?

You serve alcohol to people, of course you are against weed.

I have bar owners like you in my family. Have owned bars for over 40+ years down in New Orleans ;) I am familiar with the anti-weed bar owner types

One cannot say no one ever leaves a bar and doesnt drive.

thats plkain idiotic.

I have worked in bars and know plenty bar owners.

Even people who got in trouble for this very thing.

Dont even try to deny it, no bar pwner can.

People come to a bar to get drunk
