If you think Ichi the Killer is disturbing (I do, but I kind a liked it) you shouldn't watch the rest of Takashi Miike's films.

Chakushin Ari, Zeburaaman and Izo are a few. He is great in creating excessive violence in movies

i went to 3 different places to get this movie last weekend since my guy promised we would watch it

Good thread, I think the hook scene in Texas Chainsaw was pretty freaky. She has to watch her boyfriend get chainsawed and it's what you don't see that freaks you out

In Friday the 13th 2 when the 2 leads are checking rooms and the girl says "I think there is somebody in here" and a shape in the corner runs across the window "scared the shit out of me" when I was a kid

My vote goes to Speilberg's "Amistad" where the slaves get chained together and each one pulls the next one behind him as they go overboard to an agonizing death. Brutal.

Oh, and the fire extinguisher scene in "Irreversable". Watched it twice but could never see the cut (if there was one). Closest thing to a snuff film I have seen.

A Clockwork Orange hasn't been mentioned enough in this thread.. The whole movie is disturbing.

City Of God

The scene when the teenager street kids catch up with two little kids accussed of something and shoot a little 6-8 year old kid and the other in the foot.. just the way it was done, brutal yet it is real and happens everyday.

By far the hardcore beating the wife gets in Nil By Mouth. Fucking awsome movie.
