I have used Webair for 3+ years now, could even be longer.

they cost because they are a good host.

cheap doesnt mean good.

also, expensive doesnt mean good, but in this case, the extra bucks are worth it.

Actually I'm planning for the future. I've been away so long from the 'what servers are doing' realm I need to brush up.

It's the efficient handling of traffic that I'm working on. Sometimes I'll get someone listing me to their TGP or news site or whatever and traffic explodes. But if that traffic doesn't convert it's useless.

That's the trick. What's weird since day one when I got into this business is that the least traffic I get the more signups I get!

I think it's because it's whittled down to traffic that is actually quality.

Few days ago I got listed at the Hun. HUGE incomprehensible traffic but it'll take days to see if it converted to anything worthwhile. So in the future if it happens again I want to make sure I have hosting situations and page layouts so efficient that it maximizes profit and efficiency.

Just make sure your not comparing apples and oranges!

alot of companies that charge alot for the hosting packages use
ground floor bw providers, while others offer same prices and offer quality bandwidth.

I personally reccomend www.ReliableServers.net
no contract, no bs, good bw and great prices!

Thanks Keev, I agree! Luckily I use xcite.net and Mike the boss there knows how to handle things in a pinch. He's like ALWAYS there. All you have to do is email him. He worked things out and that is a big help. So I'll always use him yet I also want to make sure I'm on top of all hosting things so I'm not a pain.

I know how to get mega-traffic, I just wasn't spending time on it because there wasn't enough 'quality' traffic. So this last journey into traffic generation was awesome but I need to make sure I know the server game in and out.
