Have you ever seen the owner of MTV?

Never in a million years would you think this billionaire would own something as wild and on the edge as MTV.

Sumner Redstone is estimated to be worth $6 Billion. He started in business in the 1940's with drive in movie theaters.

Other holdings include Viacom, Paramount, VH1, Showtime, The Movie Channel, Nickelodean, radio stations, TV stations, syndication company that owns the rights to Roseanne, A Different World, I Love Lucy, Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone, and The Cosby Show. CBS, UPN Network, BET, Comedy Channel, TV Land, Spike. Infinity broadcasting and billboard advertising. Blockbuster video stores. 1,700 movie theaters. Simon & Schuster. Famous Music which owns the publishing rights to over 100,000 songs, including music from The Godfather.

Viacom employs 122,000 people. Has Gross Revs of 24 Billion and Nets about $4 Billion a year.

Yep, just like Murdoch.

One of the main reasons people invest in the media is to get across their point of view, I find it highly highly unlikely that this is not the case with MTV.

he owns all of us.

He controls so many newspapers, book publishers, and tv networks that barely anyone gets news or information that hasn't been filtered through his politics first.

Yeh, that's the bitch of life. You become a billionaire and then drop deap.

That's why its great to achieve success at a young age like so many here are doing.

yeah,no shit. I bet they haven't thought of it though.....

A long relative had an uncle that was Rockefeller's personal butler. One day he asked him what Onasis is doing cause he haven't heard anything about him for some time. The butler replied him that Onasis had died. Rockefeller, turned surprised and said: "Onasis is dead? How come? Onasis was rich man"
