I cannot remember the exact date but in the 3rd or 4th century a Muslim warrior swept through most of North Africa "converting" the people there. There was also Saladin who occupied Palestein and that area.

It has always been a religion that practiced peace and love while slaughtering everyone that stood in it's way. They also revere the "Holy Warrior Leaders" a lot like Christianity and now that the Jews have an army them as well.

Partially true. Although Jihad means to struggle, it's most common usage is in the context of the struggle in war. Besides referring to war, the word jihad is also used to denote the struggle against your own desire (Mind is weaker than the flesh kind of thing).

Islam is not about terrorism. The reason why people have chosen terrorism now is because there is no leader in the Muslim world and many Muslims still fill they need to vent their anger about certain political and military that they feel were and are still directed against them. Terrorism is an un-Islamic response to this. The question is, would it be any better of it were an all-out war of state against state?

I'm not one to choose sides, but there's more to the story than what some might think. The reason why certain terrorist leaders have support amongst mainstream Muslims is not because they think Osama is such a handsome man... The West's conscience is not entirely clear in this matter either.

Again, not choosing sides, just saying that ignoring history doesn't make it go away.
