don't they all now? I think JEEP was the last to use a straight axel design and then they just sold out a few years ago to an independent setup

The new Expedition, the new Explorer, the X5 BMW, and the ML series Mercedes all have independent rear suspension. Also, the smaller Honda Passport and the Toyota Highlander have IRS as well.
