Also Stewart Copeland is pretty good as well.

Yeah, as I mentioned above. It's impossible to say that anyone is THE BEST.

I can take a bunch of stuff from alot of those guys and just get brain fucked.

i dont think you can say one is the best, buddy rich caouldnt do what bonham did and bonham couldnt do what buddy did.

My personal favourite is bonham, he was way ahead of his time, he changed rock drumming forever. i also like lars, his skills are shit, but he is a good performer. there are heaps of good drummers out there though.

jimmy degrasso blew my mind at a clinic, it was the best live piece of drumming ive seen in my life

beemk 01-30-2004 11:06 PM

One of my favorites is Simon Phillips I really like his style.
Terry Bozzio is great and ofcourse Weckl , Colaiuta, everyone
on this list is great. Also Stewart Copeland is good and Jack de Johnette.
And Journey drummer Steve Smith and many many more.

He basically played like a psycho, putting his heart and soul into it. Someone earlier on this thread said he had no talent. That someone is an idiot.

angelsofporn 01-30-2004 11:37 PM

blasting slayer now...dave has that 80's metal nuch covered..no one had his speed with the composition

Bansheelinks 01-30-2004 11:39 PM

The thread says BEST DRUMMER.........not favorite drumming in a band.......

Buddy Rich is the most talented drummer of all time even though I would rather listen to John Boneham or Neil Peart.

But I mean, come on, Buddy Rich is the best by far.

After careful consideration I think the best drummer ever could be Brat from Got Jizz.
