what's the best out there? i have a Japanese friend who has a 3 megapixel camera in his phone, but definitely not available here.

once i can get a 3/4 mpixel in a phone, goodbye stand alone camera.

Good question. I travel out of the country frequently and needed a quad band phone. I picked up a NEC 525 a few days ago which happens to have a camera. The pictures are pretty pathetic, so I would definitely not recommend this model.

I have an SPV, I have media player on it and everything...the camera rocks. Shame it runs on windows and siezes up every ten minutes.

3 megapixels? Crap. My stand alone cam has 3.1. Except my cam also has 3x optical and 3.3x digital zoom, which I doubt any phone will have.

Right now, the top I can get on my provider (Telus) is 300K pixels, which is the equivalent of the lowest setting on a 1 megapixel camera. Until I upgraded my cam, all my pics were at that quality.

It's a pretty nice phone too. I'm thinking of getting it unless Telus releases something nicer soon.
