Adult biz over saturated ?

I see a lot of adult companies / providers popping up but as fast as they showed of, they disappeared. I wonder if there is still a room for new companies or if the market is already over saturated.
Normally, the more you have serious companies in the same domain ( hosting, design etc etc ) and the more you will have a price and quality competition.
Do you think new and solid companies could be a good thing or a good way to bring a fresh air in this industry ?

There is always room in any industry if the person is smart, ambious and has a fresh idea or spin on the way things are currently done.

Innovators always find a way to succeed.

A crazy stat I have, is if you click on the link in my sig to SPonsorsList - you will see that there are 800+ Sponsor programs out there in adult.

I think I would move to the new company if the support and price/quality is better than my old one.

I also think we should always give the new companies a chance to proof their reliability and quality.

Exactly the point I'm showing. Same pornstars everywhere, same content on many sites, a lot of sites promoting the same sponsor and programs etc etc...
Not to add another chapter to the Paris Hilton story, but see how this new wave made a good a quick rise. Seems that new and solid stuff are doing well.
But do you think peeps could be ready to use another sponsor / hosting comp / billing solution if the new thing is performant with a better support and same or lower prices ?

I'm not worried about competition, but as you know things must be thought a lot before the start, to be sure that all will be ok.
There is no interest to open something if nobody want move or test something else. I'm the 1st to say investments are the way to go, but time is precious and it's not useful to waste it.

That's been happening ever since I started years back.

There was a "boom of newbies" time around 99 when everyone and their dogs thought they would make money on the net. What actually happened was this "batch" just got in the way and took 90% of sponsors support time, then disappeared.

I dunno, but reckon less than 5% of new folks starting now will be around at the end of this year, - all talk and hype, but little to support that.

It's over saturated for only two types of webmasters.

1. New webmasters who haven't made it yet, don't have much talent, and never will make it as a result of the large talent pool. Many times these indviduals become so delirious of their "pending success" that they can't even see how bad their sites are, or simply refuse to accept it.

2. Old webmasters who have been successful, but only because of a previously small talent pool and are now slowly being phased out little by little. That's why so many of these guys are now scamming surfers and/or webmasters. It's their desperate attempt to suplement lost income caused by their overall lack of talent by today's standards.

No, just a quick incomplete statement that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone.

The bottom line is that it's not over saturated for everyone. It depends who you are and what level you are on. It depends on what you are doing.

This is all far too complex for my peabrain!!!

First, tis something that may not "necessarily apply to everyone".

Then it's "not over staturated for everyone".

Then it's all "depending" on who you are, what "level" you are on and "what you are doing"..........

Sounds like this is yet another "incomplete" statement???

Is the biz saturated or not??? Na.. forget it!!

Yes, parts of the market are very saturated. Other parts are not. Already found two nice holes where nobody is yet and am building the shovels to fill them

Really though, the question of over saturation shouldn't have been asked in the first place. One could write an entire essay on the issue. It's like asking how much money a TGP can make. The question is too broad, and it's an individual issue.

sure Bjorn, I promised you to use the sms program. My site is growing well and hitting 180/190k day now. I checked the codes and banners you provide for smskings, and I can't install them now.
It will possible soon, but I prefer continue this point on ICQ.
I'm going to work hard the next month to bring other sites over 200k and will use it there too.

In fact, I launched this subject not because I need something new to promote: you know I'm doing good cash from my own biz. But I would like invest some decent money in something new for a better stability in the futur. I don't want people to give me ideas cuz I already have good ones... and I surely will exploit them, if I have enough time.

Yes the internet adult biz is over saturated, I can't see many new sites coming out. The big players will be around for a long while and every site they launch will be around!

We are glutted with porn releases (and footage from wannabe producers using it as a means to get laid)---it's the old economic supply versus demand stuff, and it's a financial challenge for already existing companies, as well as new ones who might soon also be suffering likewise!
