Are you RACIST?

I think everyone is. I believe everyone stereotypes other races to a certain degree, or has adverse feelings for a race other than their own for whatever reason. Yes there's plenty of people who have great friends/wives/children of other races or mixed race. But I believe even they, are racist to an extent.

What do you think?

Racist, no.

Do I stereotype different races? Of course. It would be silly to say different races aren't different.

I discriminate against stupid people and fuckheads. Hate them all.

Yeah, I don't like dumbasses either. I can't help it if 75% of 'em are white trash. ;)

I think everyone can be racist to a certain extent and not even mean to. For instance, my dad said something around the time that the war with Iraq started about ragheads, pertaining to Arabs. People say things and don't think that they are really derogatory comments until they think about it. I have said things my self and not even thought anything of it until someonew pointed it out to me. For the most part, I don't think people mean to be racist. It just slips out on occasion.

Racist isn't the words you say, it's how you feel. I'm white, if I say "stupid honkey" am I being racist towards myself?

I hate drunks on welfare that wander the streets all day, and I cant help the fact the majority of them are natives in my city. So I see how the native + booze stereotype can come into play.

People on the surface will tell you they are not racist or whatever but underneath all of us have some sort of stereotypes due to our socialization and upbringing. The difference lies in if you actually act on those feelings and attitudes

Yes it is things you say and I am assuming that if you say it you feel that way also. If you say stupid honkey then you might be reacist against other white people. I will be completely honest alot of white people piss me off and I'm white. And yes I am racist toward some people of my own race. Ignorance is of all colors.

yes, that's racist towards yourself... you classified something and pinned it on a race...

i'll admit if im walkin on a dark road and i see an african-american walking past me, i wont cross the street like some caucasians, but i do put myself more 'on guard' or alert due to stereotyping...

when dealing with Jewish businessmen, I am more cautious, because of stereotyping...

when i see a drunk redneck, i get more 'on guard' and alert....

shrug

racism is unavoidable...

I agree. Racism is a thing that has been here for ages and will be until the end of time. It is all around and isn't ever going away.

because you just said that an entire race of human beings can't jump... which is untrue.... but most of them can't, correct... why not just say black men can only make money in entertainment/sports? THAT would be racist just as white men can't jump....

Racist?? NOPE!!!

I think everybody is the same, but it depends how you grow up... i mean in what kind of city or village..
I grew up in a village with not more then 1000 people.... only i 1 was black.. it was a kid of 5-6 years old who was adopted..
I moved to a big city and life in a place where about 90% is black and about 80% of everybody here has a income of 1000 euro's or less.. Of course here's alot of violence, but it's not only because of the black people! 40% of the crimes here are because of the poor white people who wants to have more money for their kids and stuff....

I've got a lovely dog who's scares away alot of those bad people, simply because most of those people are affraid of dogs

rac·ism ( P ) Pronunciation Key (rszm)

The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

I'm using the definition of racism. If I stereotype ones race, "Only black people can make money in sports" how am I discriminating against them? I'm not. Stereotypes are not racist, period.
