				CCbill, Ibill, etc Payment Notification

Hi, a friend of mine is developing (has only just started) an affiiate script for himself, ad well as to potentially sell in the future. I had a quick look around a few of the major third party processor sites, and I could not find how exactly their payment notification system works.

I am assuming that they would all work similarly to paypal IPN system, as described here: http://www.perl-studio.com/php/paypal/ but I can not find the exact info needed to help my friend out. Any help (links, or otherwise) would be appreciated.

Almost every processor has their own method of doing postbacks similar to paypals ipn. However you will need to get the info or their own small password adding scripts from them to be able to see the differances.

One way of doing it is have it so that a extra piece of code is put into the password management script. So everytime a password is added, it also checks for a cookie (can't do that ip address thing, since it's sent from the biller) to see if a affiliate gets credit for the sale.

You could also contact some of the 3rd party billing companies to see what you can do to get your affiliate software to run with their system. I pretty much said the same thing as nuclei, just in different words.

Each one is a little different. PayPal's IPN system is probably the easiest.

For CCBIll, and I think also for iBill, what you have to do is and an extra refererid variable to the signup form, typically using SSI. That variable is then posted to the password management script, which will have to be customized to record the sale. If yall have too much trouble with this I can do it for you at a very reasonable cost.
