There is a domain I want to get that is about to expire. How long usually after the expiration date listed in whois will it take until that domain is "available" again? is there a faster way to snatch it up? thanks.

you can use one of those snap services -
Depends on the registrar, but normally from 30-90 days is normal.
Snapname.com and pool.com are pretty good at picking up expiring domains.Comment

I'd deffinately suggest using one of those domain snatchers too.
There's probably a bunch of brokers waiting for that domain to expire too, so get in now! Good luck!

Ganja, snapnames.com, pool.com, namewinner.com and other name-grabbing services auto-register them as soon as they can after expiration. With a good name, the window of opportunity is probably no longer than 1 second. Like freesexvideos.com is due to expire in the next day or two, but everybody in the expired biz is gunning for it. Not sure how fast the players retry registration these days, but it used to be in the sub-millisecond time frame, distributed across multiple registrars. If the name you want is halfway decent, rest assured there will be others trying to grab it first.Comment
