Donīt be too selfconfident man ! Not everything written here is shit !
Although ur articulation is a bit too arrogant I liked some passages of ur text,
but notice that some of the people here have relatives in germany and are not talking only blah-blah from the internet okay !?!
And some of us were studying history in germany at university, so donīt "talk too loud" about people having not an opinion or knowing a shit about second world war !

smokincash,
Not everything is bs, some replies definitly show that some here know something about the subject, but on the other hand too many are talking out of their ass. Just thinking they have enough knowledge on this subject to state an opinion, based on the fact that they saw "Saving Private Ryan" twice.
You probably read my complete initial reply before I edited it, the reason why I removed the rest of my reply is that I think it's pretty pointless to have this discussion with a crowd where probably 75% of the participants don't have enough insight and background information.
I'm pretty fascinated by this stuff since I was nine, my granddads fought in the war and survived because they ate cats, I've read tons of stuff about the subject, visited tons of musea and camps and did for my History exams in college a bunch of papers on WW2.
And I like to discuss about this subject, but not if I feel the need to lecture some ppl here first about Blitzkriegs, stereotyping Germans and basically the whole context of in which Hitler took over the power and indoctrinated a complete nation.
If I read on top of that some bs, that we need to be thankful that the US set us free/start participating because the danger started facing them more and more after waiting 4 years, I start feeling discussing rocketscience with some kids that can't even pee without help.
