When all the shit went down with CJOverkill, I had a family member who is a lawyer take a look at the situation. The example of letting people into your home and not protecting yourproperty was given to me. That's basically the gist of it, and why most companies protect the source. I was concerned that since I was partnering with Icefire on another project that I should cover my butt as well. Thankfully I did that, and was able to find out that Icefire had done nothing illegal and that I was safe in going into business with him.

I had nothing to do with CJOverkill and all galleries I sold had original graphics (some of which were painstakingly recreated just to fuck with Fletch). But they were original nonetheless.

So keep it coming and I will continue to defend myself.

Shit blows up on GFY...I hear it on ICQ. I talk to most of my clients on a regular basis. We chat, they tell me not to think twice about GFY bullshit. A few asked if they could say something in my defense and I said no. I can stand up for myself.

M3Servers are straight up by all accounts. But candyflip is not, and it was silly to pay for his signature. A lot of people that won't read this thread that know about him are going to assume he is an employee and that can't be good for business.

Exactly, finally you and I agree 100% upon something. Having their button in Candyflips sig is a bad bad business move. Candyflip's reputation is well know by now. Before he had a button to a paysite he said he coded for, then a button to a stolen script, then a button to another guy who later posted that Candyflip ripped him off. Now to this host. Dan paid to have his sig in my name. He was paying for exposure and so far it looks like that's what he got. I have nothing more to do with his company than anyone else here who's being paid to fly someone elses banner is. It's about impressions and today he got them.

I'm sure he also knows that most people are intelligent enough to make a decision on hosting needs based on the reputation of his company.
