Peter Jackson said this awhile back.
He has to hold on to what he can. The blooming of the rose is also its death,. I can imagine he is scared he will never top LOTR and has to do something to keep it going as long as he can. i hate seeing directors go down this road. its what killed Lucas and George Romero!

with the money they made from LOTR they would be crazy not to.
BTW LOTR was brought to the screen very, very well considering what it very easily could have been. |
