Juicy did you try emailing [email protected] from a fake email address to get "more information about their product". Dupe the guy into screwing up. You usually find that it takes a scammer to beat a scammer.
|
Sorry to hear about your problems with that guy.
I don't know if I can help you with an address a phone number (though perhaps I can, if you email me). I can offer you a MUCH better script at a much better price, though. Normally I can get AVS sites done in a few minutes. Do a search on this board for "Strongbox" to see what other webmasters here have to say about my work. http://webmastersguide.com/?htaccess-cgi/strongbox/ Ray |

Hey everyone - my side of the story
Ive been at university since September, and basically have been alienated from everything that goes on in GFY and the programs i worked on. Ive had little access to my email address and basically ive had to devote all my time studying my ass off for medicine. I get like five-six hours of sleep a day and then today i find out that apparantly im wanted on GFY. So I come here and see all this commotion over me. It appears I guess that people have been having trouble with my script, or the google page rank checker and they have not been able to get a hold of me. Im not here to scam anyone, thats far from my intention. All my work was done in the summer, and basically once September came around ive been away from all this. You can check my posts, and notice how ive made basically none since Aug 25th. I havent been around - ive been busy with school. I know juicy has one of the highest reputations on this board, and with that reputation and his personality there are a lot of people that will back him up without knowing exactly what happened. Im not calling juicylinks a liar, im just saying this is a misunderstanding. After creating the google page rank checker in early august , I sold the rights to the program to somenoe else and basically i thought i was done with that program. However, a couple of people had bought the program from me before I sold the rigts, one of those being Juicy. I was aware of some problems with the script and I was forced to recode it in .NET for better multithreading and to squash the bugs that others had found. Juicy told me that the program had been working for him fine, and that 2 weeks later it stopped working. Juicy says I sold him a faulty program intented for the sole purpose of scamming him, but I disagree. The program DID work on his computer, something went wrong and I was not around to help him though it. He probably had the old visual basic verson of the app, and not the newer one that I was sure I had sent out to everyone as an update. Anyway I came back today and noticed this thing has been going on for a LONG time. A month ago juicy made a thread similar to this and gave away my program in a zip.. and today he made this post. I had no idea this was going on simply because I was not here. And then i got a message from a friend today saying that someone was trying to find out where I lived and offering a $200 reward for it. Look juicy, and the other 3 people that have been having problems with hotlink protector. I have not been around for the past 4 months. I stopped promoting HLP in mid august - it was just a project to help pay for my school fees. I had no idea that people still needed help with it, that little project was over for me. Anyway, i hope we can work this out juicy - i see how upset you are and honestly I had no idea the program stopped working on you. |

this thread wouldn't have been started if you had kept your whois info true. if you're worried, you pay an extra $9 for a privacy feature. wanna find out how quick your registrar makes you put the correct information? or are you willing to lose your domain? |
