Tala still hasn't gotten all of her money?

I will say this, having had two very major abdominal surgeries similar to a hystorectomy myself (two caesarean sections), I was able to sit up and sit for a few hours at a time the day I got out of the surgery. It was extremely painful but I could do it (and had to, considering that I had to feed the babies, etc). I'm not really that surprised if Tala was up the day of or a day or so after. Different people have different pain tolerances. Being able to WORK is another story. There is NO WAY IN HELL I'm going to be able to work for a while after I have my c-section and hysto (on March 4th), but there's no way I'm gonna be able to stay in bed, either (not with two kids and a newborn). As for the rest of the situation, I'm not even going there but that's my two cents on THAT part of it

Apparently, $5300 in checks were sent throughout Decemeber and January, accounting for all the $$, but Tala's bank wouldn't cash them. Now Brad is sending it to her via WU and all but $700 has been sent.

Brad, send the money ASAP via Western Union or another similar service. Put this behind you. Though you do need to understand the concerns of others. If you're holding somebody's money, you're going to be under fire. Nobody likes when they're "owed" money, and technically yes, she was "owed" money.

It's really unfortunate something like this had to happen, next time someone may not get the help they really need. Sit back, relax, and get well soon. If you're having money troubles, build free sites, galleries, anything. It takes work but those little fuckers still make money. Just today I had a sale from a site I built 2 years ago.

I don't understand how a bank can refuse checks. Maybe a Russian bank or something but not an american bank. I get checks from all over the world and have NEVER had my bank refuse to accept it. It just sits in the account until it gets validated, or verified or whatever the hell it is they do, but they don't just refuse to take it.

I would prefer to stay out of this shit storm, but I would like to say that Brad is a stand up guy, I know him personally and professionally and he would never do anything dishonest IMO.

I've never had a bank refuse a check either and I get them from all over too. From Canada, Australia, etc. I'm just repeating what Tala said in another thread.

Are you suggesting that Western Union, like cash, is harder for the IRS to find out about?

She could have a hold or something on her account regarding "strange" checks. A "large" check from Canada could throw a flag and be refused/put on hold. Does seem strange though, usually they're just placed on hold. I've never had it happen but know a few that have.
