These are the stocks I have purchased in the last couple of months on the TSX.
AL
CP
SLF
MFC
PWF
TD
SU
I have been buying only large cap dividend paying stocks and am overweight financials and industrials right now (well I still like to play a few penny stocks). A great way to research stocks on the TSX is to go to www.robtv.com's site and look at the Analyst's Top 3 Picks on MArketCall and MarketCall tonight.
from here on out most small caps and tech stocks may not perform as well as some larger companies
last year was a great run for them, not a lot of room left for them. very hard to find any value in those areas, but penny stocks could work if you have access to info, which can be difficult.
Originally posted by madsender I'm guessing instead of 23% on bond funds u meant 2-3%.
Bond funds don't even come close to 23% normally.
AGF457 AGF Global Government Bond Fund $USD return over cost in 2003 with reinvested distributions and dividends - 21.32%
AGF492 AGF Global Total Return Bond Fund $USD did about the same as well.
With low interest rates bond valuations went way up but they are beginning to teeter with the messages about rates the fed is sending now. I will probably sell out if it looks bad this week.

been fallowing it pretty damn closely, but right now is like highest in 1 year, how much higher can it go?
and same thing for PRVT
I am more interested in PRVT since the share price is lower, could bank a few more bucks in that one
